The Best Christmas present!

posted by Kandi

This event actually took place last week, but due to the holidays I scheduled it ahead of time. Enjoy!

Well, it happened. This is the first year Audrey is in school and she brought home a present for me and Chuck. Now, I was expecting a drawing or something similar. Something cute to tuck away and save for, well, ever. Something that all the kids did and would say "hey Mommy or Daddy, here". I never would have thought of something like what I received.

Audrey loves to give gifts. It's in her nature. So, when she came running out of her class today and handed me a gift I was surprised! Then, with her hand on her hip, she informs me that I had to wait until "Daddy" got home to open it "cause it's for bof of you". Okay, I *guess* I can wait, if I have to. Talk about a LONG wait. I completely forgot Chuck had a haircut and dentist appointment tonight. My anticipation of opening my first "real" kid present (meaning not bought by Chuck for me) was overwhelming. I was practically pacing by the time he got home.

He did his normal hugs/kisses and asking everyone about their day. I was about to go nuts..seriously. He knew I was waiting to open the gift, so he made me wait longer. Just to be a turkey!!

Let me say though, the wait was worth it! When we opened the card I got misty eyed.
When we tore open the gift (quite like small children ourselves) I got very teary very quickly. It was Audrey's hand print. She had made it, painted it and put a penny with the year 2009 on it!
On the back was a poem that I have read before.
This one had a holiday twist to it. I bawled like a baby!! Really. Chuck started, well, chuckling I was so teary.

It was the best Christmas present I have ever received! I plan on hanging it in a prominent place with some room so that the other two can add theirs to it someday.

What Happened Wednesday

posted by Kandi

This weeks edition of What Happened Wednesday is going to focus on my little cutie Audrey.
She's usually an independent, head strong little girl. That's her. I wouldn't change a hair on her cutie patootie little blonde head. Sadly though, she has been replaced recently. Her spirit is diminishing right before my eyes. I first noticed it when I returned from my trip. She has been crying at school over things she usually would have shrugged off. She has been clingy at home and always wants to be right next to me or her Daddy. I'm not getting it. I called the pediatrician and they said it's probably a stage she's going through. Okay, maybe. That still doesn't help this Mom feel any better. I want my little girl back. I'm selfish like that though. I miss my little girl who didn't need to be told, she just knew what needed done. I want the little girl who doesn't take "No" for an answer, she negotiates to get it. The little girl who is bossy, studious, happy and laughs. I miss her. Come back soon Audrey...Mommy really hopes this stage ends soon!

So, my What Happened Wednesday question for you is this. How do you deal with stages in your children's development that are very much out of their character? How do you "weather the storm" so to speak?

Marbles...

posted by Kandi

Here's the story. I cooked dinner last week and we all sat down to eat. Chuck had worked late and so dinner was a wee bit later than usual. The kids were, let's just say, less than cooperative. Now that you've had the story, here are the events.

We all sit down to dinner. It was NOT my best dinner ever, but hey, it was home cooked with love. That's all that matters right? Yeah, I didn't think so either...whatever! Sorry, off track. We all sit down to dinner. Everyone is eating away and suddenly chaos ensues. Ren starts whining about not liking the food. Courtney spills her drink everywhere. Chuck isn't saying much, but apparently had had a bad day.

Dinner is almost over and I start clearing things off the table and putting them into the sink. Someone ask me about dessert, for the thousandth time. I turn around and say "oh, I promise you guys, if you ask me about dessert again I'm going to lose my marbles!" To which Audrey replies "what marbles Mommy?" Innocent enough, I get it. Hilarious, oh yeah. One look at her face and you knew she was genuine in her question.

Who knew my 4 year old was so good at insults? I had to document this so one day she may see how witty she was as a young girl!

Enjoy the laugh at my expense, it's okay...really....

Happy Birthday Courtney!

posted by Kandi

Today, my baby turns 2. I can't believe she is 2 already. Where did the time go? I watched her today. She was answering questions with yes and no, counting to 10 in English AND Spanish, walking up the stairs holding onto the rail by herself and hopping along the floor saying "ribbit, ribbit". It's hard, yet exhilarating, to watch the kids grow up. Their birthdays remind me of how much they've grown. So, in honor of "Tinkie's" birthday, here are some pictures of her first 2 years of life...

Hanging with Daddy 1st day home from the hospital.

2 1/2 weeks old.

Her first Christmas

1st time feeling the grass. (She wasn't impressed)

snoozing.

It's great to be 1!!!

I'm Tinkerbelle (yes, that's where Tinkie came from)

My 2 year old toddler **sigh**.

I hope you enjoyed looking at the pics as much as I enjoyed realizing my baby is now a full fledged toddler. It's okay that I'm sad right?

Drama, drama everywhere....

posted by Kandi

Have you ever had one of those mornings? You know the ones, you wake up late, can't get going and then nothing goes right. Yeah, I'm having one of those RIGHT NOW!! Let's just say I woke up about an hour later than usual. That gave me exactly 1/2 hour to wake up Audrey and get her to school. Talk about time constraints. Well, I quietly go into her room, trying not to wake up the baby in the process. I gently rub her back and say "Audrey, time for school, wake up". She jumps out of bed unhappily. She then walks into the center of her room, throws her arms out to the side and professes LOUDLY "but Mommy, I just wanted to sleep a little bit longer, geez". Okay, when did my 4 year old become 15?? I'm prepared for a lot, or at least I try to tell myself that. THAT was not one of those things I prepared for. If she's this drama now the teenage years are going to be a real loo-loo.

Now add to this Courtney who suddenly despises getting dressed or getting her diaper changed. That's a struggle I look forward to each morning, let me tell ya. Ren has been complaining the lights are too bright all morning and Chuck, well, he was less than happy to be running late for work.

Right now, I would really like to just crawl back into bed, pull up the covers and hide my head. Maybe if I do that the day will start over again. And since we know that isn't going to happen I'll just settle with popping in a Dora DVD for the kids and putting another post on this site so that you all can share in the joy of my morning. I'm hoping for a great rest of the day, but with 3 kids and a hubby who has obviously contracted PMS today I'm unsure of the outcome.

Disney on Ice...

Last night was the BIG night! We headed to Disney on Ice and had a complete blast! We got stuck in some terrible traffic on the way there, but were determined to make it to the Meet and Greet. I'm going to be entirely honest here. I thought that Mickey and Minnie would scare the bugeezees out of the kids. Audrey said she didn't want them to touch her and Ren, well, he was scared to go near them. Courtney was IN LOVE!!! She looked at us and said "Meekeee" the minute we walked in. She gave each of them a high 5 and touched their noses, it was so cute.

Onto the show part....all I can say is WOW!! It was fab-u-lous! The beginning of the show is wonderful. I honestly thought something was wrong with the Zamboni until I realized it was part of the show. Then out pops Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Chip and Dale and all my kids faces LIT UP!!! Audrey was smiling from ear to ear and ADORED the princess part of the show. Especially Snow White and Cinderella. When Snow White skated out she gasped "Mommy it's Snow White, she's beautiful!!!"

Ren's favorite part was Toy Story, of course. When the soldiers came marching out he jumped out of his seat and started clapping. He adores Buzz and Woody. The only thing he asked the whole time was "where's Bullseye?". I told him I didn't know and maybe he was sleeping because it was a looonnnngggg ride from Andy's house to Cincinnati. That seemed to make it better in his eyes.

Now Courtney, she giggled, clapped, laughed and was just generally enthralled with the entire night. She was dancing to the music, pointing out characters she knew, and talking a ton (which is great for someone with a limited vocabulary!!). She did about break her Daddy's legs, when Nemo, Dory, and Marlin came out. That is her favorite movie!

From my point of view, the entire night was magical! I felt like a little girl again seeing the wonders that are Disney. Everything was great! Personally, my favorite part was the Lion King portion, but that movie holds a very special place in my "all things Disney loving" heart. Chuck said his favorite part of the entire night was watching the event unfold through our kids eyes. Yup, sometimes he can be sappy and sweet like that!!

I want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to Mom Central for the generous opportunity to attend the show. It was a night we will never forget!

Lastly, if you want to go and see the 100 Years of Magic yourself, log onto ticketmaster.com and use the code MOM for some special savings. You can also hop over to the Facebook fan page for the Dayton/Cincy area for more information. Here's hoping you and yours can enjoy all the Magic and Wonder that Disney on Ice brings.

My *sometimes* trying little man....

posted by Kandi

This is my little man....Ren

He is the child mother's dream of and dread all rolled into one. Now, I'm not knocking on my little man, far from it. He's the smartest guy I know, really. He can be put in time out and completely understand why he's there, without explanation. He also knows how to push EVERY BUTTON I HAVE!!!!! He's sweet as a button one minute and falling down crying the next. I'm assuming it's a "boy" thing because I remember my brothers doing the same thing. I just don't get it though. I have two little girls who love to be independent and their own little people, but with Ren it's different. He has to make sure I know everything and repeats himself over and over just to make sure it's right. He has the longest attention span I've ever seen!

I guess I honestly see a lot of myself reflected in him. He wants to be heard in the midst of his siblings. He loves to be alone to think, yet desires the interaction of others. He is my little snuggle bunny who LOVES to just sit with me and talk about everything. He thinks it's great that Mommy knows about sports, yet adores everything about his Daddy too.

I'm going to be honest, brutally. While I adore my little man with my whole heart, he has been the toughest one of the 3!! He has been my sickly one, my whiney one, the one who introduced me to hospital stays and ER's, the one who fights me at every turn and then looks at me with those steel blue eyes and asks why I'm upset....ahhh, yes, that's my Ren.

Know what else...I wouldn't change a hair on his head or a cell in his body. He's all mine and a not so subtle reminder that what my Grammy, Mimi and Mom have always said...."yes, God does have a sense of humor and he makes sure that all parents get back what they gave to their parents 1000%".

So, do you have a little one like mine? I hope you appreciate every day with them and at the end of every day smile....because they are asleep....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My baby is learning words...

posted by Kandi

Courtney is learning words. To be more specific, she is learning more words. She has been speaking jibberish for quite some time. I'll be honest, it was very frustrating for a while. Audrey was speaking before 15 months and Ren took to it very soon after his ear surgery. Courtney is another character altogether though. She always has been. My Grammy (who had 4 kids in 4 years) told me that the third for her learned things a bit slower than her first two. I remember saying "how can that be? She should've learned from her big sisters." Grammy assured me that it isn't a big deal because those "big" siblings also spoke a lot for #3 therefore she didn't need to speak. "Ah ha" I thought. Well that WON'T happen to mine. Boy was I wrong! She is learning and growing according to schedule, but speaking real words has been coming slower than the other two.

Now, that being said, Courtney's newest accomplishment is body parts. Not the usual nose, eyes, ears. Nope, not her. She is learning fingers, toes, knees and now thanks to her loving brother and sister, personal anatomy. We aren't shy about things such as this. We also teach our kids the proper words for body parts. If that embarrasses you, you might want to stop reading here...

Onto the funny part. Tonight Courtney has been fighting sleep. She recently moved into her toddler bed and is loving the fact that she can get up and move around. Well, on about the third time of tucking her in tonight, I decided I'd rub her hair. It's worked before, so why not. Midway through rubbing her hair, she reaches over and touches my arm. I'm thinking "aww, she still likes this". Well, she might still like it, but what happened next REALLY caught me off guard. She reached over and pinched my boob. Yup, pinched...hard! Then in her little toddler voice says "Mommy booby". I smiled through the pain and said "yes, that's Mommy's breast but we don't touch other people there". She smiled, rolled over and closed her eyes.

Why do I have the feeling that she did it to get back at me for making her go to bed? Has anyone else had an issue with personal body parts and their kids? Please, if you are so inclined, share...that way I don't feel like a huge dork!!

First Day of School.

Well, my little girl is growing up. Am I happy about it...no way. I can't stop it as much as I may try. She started preschool bright and early this morning. Chuckie and I took her to school and walked her in. She looked so big! She took off her backpack and hung it in her cubby like she'd been there dozens of times. When she went in she politely said hello to the teachers and made her way over to the other kids.

We had decided earlier that we weren't going to hang around very long with the goodbye part of the morning, so Chuck told her bye and that he would see her after work. She ran up and gave him a big hug and kiss and said "I love you Daddy". He ask her to be good and she said "no problem, Mommy will be here"...uh oh. I quickly explained that I needed to go home and take care of her brother and sister and would be back later. She started to get a little watery in the eyes, but I **very rapidly** kissed her, told her goodbye and left. Once outside it hit me...my baby was a big girl and was beginning her educational career! Chuck saw the tears and hugged me then laughed and got into his car...men! They just don't get it do they? I walked back to the van and got in just in time to see another mother going in with her little guy. She was bawling her eyes out already! I didn't feel so bad for my couple of tears and took off for home.

Honestly thinking about how the morning went the worst part was just getting out the door! Ren cried so hard! He wanted to go to school too but isn't quite big enough (read potty trained) to go. Once he is he will be going to Tuesday School.

Otherwise, the morning went as I had hoped! Here's to more of the same the rest of this week!

The picture below is what Audrey did at school today. She made a puppet of herself. This week and next the kids will be learning about how God made them each individuals and special. Today Audrey learned that God gave her beautiful brown eyes like her Mommy's, or so she told the teacher. In truth, I have been telling her that since she was tiny and she just repeated it to the teacher....yup, that's my girl!

Things that happened this weekend...

posted by Kandi

Okay, just have to brag a bit.

My little girl is getting so big and independent. I don't like it, I really don't. We have this wonderful convertible crib and the baby has been crawling over the side and out of it for several weeks. I **finally** relented and we took the side off and "officially" made it a toddler bed. When oh when did my sweet little baby grow into a walking, talking, running, hopping full on toddler? Why do they feel this instinctive need to grow up so fast?

The little man in my life decided that this weekend he was TOO BIG to ride in a shopping cart at the store and wanted to walk. While I appreciate his determination, I really don't have enough arms to keep up with him and his sister, so he got a little (okay, a LOT) angry with me at Target. So, to make up for it, I took him to the grocery all by himself and he was outstanding!! He ask all kinds of curious questions and helped load and unload the cart. I am so happy that my little man is growing up (and out of his whiney phase....geesh!!!!!).

Finally this weekend, Audrey got her soccer pictures done. She did so good!! I was so proud of her. She is kind of bashful by nature and I was a little concerned that she might cry or just flat out refuse to get them done. Happily, she walked up, propped her foot on her ball, put her hands on her hips and popped the biggest smile! She was even good for her team shot!! Then I took her across the park and snapped a few of her posing however she wanted. I wanted to share the results of her posing!

My van

posted by Kandi

This is my van--

This is what it looks like right now--

This is what I wish it would look like all the time!!--

Okay, enough said! I was just cleaning out my van and thought I would share it with you. I clean the thing out at least 2 times a month and yet it NEVER ceases to amaze me at how nasty it can get. quickly!!! I guess those are the breaks with 3 kids still in booster/car seats and needing to lug around snacks, sippys, soccer stuff, extra clothes and diapers!!

Does anyone else's car look like this? OR is it just mine???? Help me out here people...I'm longing to know.....

My soccer girl.

posted by Kandi

Well, it's official. Audrey is all signed up and equipped for her big soccer practice debut next week (I'm sure there will be a post about it!). We went Wednesday and purchased all her stuff. The trip included a new ball, shin guards, cleats, and socks. Most of the stuff has pink on it somewhere, with exception to the socks which are white. The soccer ball is another matter all together! She was sooo angry when they didn't have any pink balls. Seriously. She looked at me and said, "well, if purple is all they have I guess that will do for now". She's 4 people!!!!!!!

Even though Audrey and Chuck have been playing around with a soccer ball for several years, she is just now at the age that she can join a "real team" (her words). She is so excited! Me, on the other hand, well, I'm LOST!!! I don't know the first thing about soccer, really. Football, baseball, basketball and even hockey I know enough to understand. Soccer...nothing. I feel like I'm going to take her to practice just to stand there and look like an idiot. I don't even know when to cheer. All I can say is thank goodness there are good workers at the local sporting goods store too! So, I guess I'm going to have to take some Soccer 101 classes or something and fast!

Now, I'll get back to the reason for the blog. While I was the one who took her shopping for all her stuff, I had NO IDEA how to put everything together. I had a vague suspicion at best, but made her wait until Chuck got home to really try it all. While he was showing her how to put things on I kept catching the faintest hint of a proud dad smile on his mouth. Chuck's not the one to show his emotions (what man really does right?), but it was so sweet that I snapped some pictures of it.

Sicky, icky everywhere....

posted by Kandi

If you read this blog, you know that Andrea and I comment on each other's posts...a lot. In a recent post about our "girls night out" I mentioned that Court had been sick, thus delaying my being able to post about the night out. Well, here is the story of what's up with her.

It kind of includes all the kiddies, but the baby the most. All of my kids started getting runny noses on Friday. No biggie, the weather here in Ohio has been really wonky lately, so I expected some reaction to hot, cool, hot, rainy, cool, rainy, hot weather. Yes, that's in order and yes, that's what it's been like over the last month around here.

Anyway, on Sunday Court started coughing. She slept terrible Sunday night and prompted a call to the pediatrician's office first thing Monday morning. I was told to just watch her and make sure no new symptoms appeared. Sadly for her, she started vomiting, running a fever and having a hard time breathing. Soo, off to the ped's office we went. She got a shot of a antibiotic because the ped was worried and oral one wouldn't do any good if she didn't keep it down. Let's just say I almost cried when they gave her the shot(s). They had to do one in each hip...my poor poor Tink!! I have never heard her scream like that and it tore through me.

Well, to top that off, the ped thought it would be good to get a lung x-ray to make sure she didn't have pneumonia. Ever tried to hold down a squirmy, cranky 21 month old for x-rays? Not fun let me assure you! Luckily, the results came back great! No pneumonia.

For today I'm just thanking God that it wasn't pneumonia. So, how has your week been so far??

"Mommy, that's dumb, stop it"

Posted by Kandi

Yesterday I had the bright idea to introduce the baby to The Wiggles. Peanut (the oldest) adored the Wiggles when she was about the baby's age. I thought I'd pull out some old DVD's and see how she liked them. It took her a minute, but she was soon shaking her diapered tush with the music. Now, having had a little one who's world revolved around "wiggling" for a while, I'm well versed in the songs, dances, and characters. I was enjoying reliving those memories and showing the baby how to "Do the Monkey" and "Rock-A-Bye her Bear" when Peanut came up from the playroom. She was humiliated! She said, "Mommy, you look silly stop it". I just looked at her like "are you my kid? The same one who knew every move before she was 2?" I ask her if she wanted to help teach the baby some moves and she rolled her eyes (how does a 4 year old know how to do that!?!?!?!). So, needless to say, Peanut is officially over the Wiggles. I was so sad when I thought about it. They were so important to her at one time, we even went to their concert!! I know all kids go through phases, but sometimes it's hard for me to just let go....At least I have the baby to re-live the glory days of the Wiggles.

Parental Miscommunication

posted by Kandi

The holiday weekend didn't really feel like one around our house. We had 3 sick kids. We didn't go to a parade, fireworks or anything. We were up to eyes in puke, fevers, Tylenol and icky diapers. Let's just say this 4th of July was less than sparkling...haha.

SO, Sunday evening when the kids started feeling a bit better I had the bright idea to steal about 30 minutes for some "me" time. Chuck was okay with it and said he would take care of the kids. During this 30 or so minutes he dealt with the whole spectrum of kid behaviors (insert evil laugh here). Peanut had a drama issue that got her sent to her room to play quietly, and Ren decided he wanted to play with his Thomas choo-choo's so he was in his room. That just left the baby with her Daddy. Well, she was having a great time playing with her "Bay-bee's" so Chuck thought he would let her be.

After being downstairs for about an hour, my internal alarm went off. I didn't hear any noises coming from upstairs and couldn't figure out what they were doing. I came upstairs thinking, "wow, what is Chuck doing, the kids are being wonderful!!" Shock and surprise hit when I saw the baby curled up in a ball at the end of the couch sound asleep. Peanut was asleep on her bed and Ren was still playing choo-choo's very quietly. No Chuck!! So I used the intercom and called for him. He called back and said he was downstairs so I ask him to come up and see what was going on.

Can you say parent miscommunication!! It was quite cute though. The picture of the baby sleeping looks just like mine when I was her age! Ren also told us that he had put on his hat to block out the sunshine (there wasn't any mind you) and found one of the baby's binky's.....so here are a few pics of what happens when parents don't communicate well.

Why not to get green icing....

posted by Kandi

We had our son's birthday party this last weekend. He is desperately in love with Thomas the Train and so we geared the party for that theme. We had the party on the back patio and only invited a few people. He had a great time!! Loads of Thomas trains and accessories were given to him as gifts.

The only thing I learned from the party was this small little thing called green icing. In an attempt to get a really cool cupcake cake, I got a Thomas themed one with green "grass" icing. BIG MISTAKE!!! The bakery had put A LOT of green icing on the top. Needless to say, one bite into the icing and all the kids, parents, grandparents and even our table and patio were covered in green!!! AND IT STAINS!!!! I can still see green on my kiddos hands and they get bathed nightly plus hands scrubbed before and after each meal.

So, my lesson for this week is this...avoid green icing at all costs....or this could happen to you!!!!!

Chuck love Barbie

posted by Kandi

I think my hubby, Chuck, has a problem. It's of the toy variety.

Here's a little back story. Chuck has a brother, no sisters. Girls are more of a foreign language to him then men who may have had sisters. Well, we have 2 girls. Both of them are quite little girly girls at that. Our youngest, who's 19 months, has just discovered her sister's Barbie dolls. There's the back story.

Onto today. We had just eaten dinner and cleaned up the kids. It was family time and we were all reading books. Each kid got to choose 1 book for us to read to the whole group. Well, CS brought her new favorite toy with her. This is a blonde haired, bikini clad, loads of eye makeup and lipstick Barbie doll. You know the type. She hands the doll to Chuck while I was reading one of the books. I glanced up while turning the page to see my husband checking underneath the Barbie's clothes. Like pseudo feeling her up. I just rolled my eyes and continued on. After story time ended, the kids went to put their books away. It was at the moment that all the kids had exited the room that he looks at me and says "Oh my gosh, Barbie is a hottie" I gave him a look like he had 3 heads. "really? I just thought she was a doll". He said, "yes, but she is one little hot doll". I'm about ready to barf. I mean, has he never looked at a Barbie before. Come on....

I ask him about the feeling Barbie up thing. His response was "I wanted to see what was under there" Okay, it's a plastic doll with little plastic mounds. What did he expect? Silicone??

I can't wait until the girls move onto the next girly phase. Maybe I'll find out Chuck has a secret obsession for make-up or something too....

Parental Advisory---Really gross potty story

Well, last week was my most favorite time of the month (Catch the dripping sarcasm there?). My favorite Aunt Flo was visiting (sarcasm yet again!).

The potty story goes like this. I'm a Mom, I have 3 kids under the age of 4 and my son in particular is 2. He is getting really interested in potty training, so we let him come in and see how to sit down and practice while we (hubby and me) go to the potty. With Aunt Flo visiting, I thought it was a bad idea for him to be in there and began locking the door whenever I went. Well, on this one particular time I forgot to lock the door. I was in the middle of, ummm, expelling a used tampon (I know, pretty explicit, sorry) when the bathroom door swung open and the afore-mentioned son is standing there. He said "Mommy what was that?" I said, "It was nothing sweetie, close the door and go play with your sisters." He closed the door and I thought left. That was until he heard me begin to pull up my pants, then he rushed in and looked in the toilet. I was appalled and more than embarrassed. I quickly put the lid down and flushed. My son then looks up at me with HUGE EYES and says "Mommy, how did you get a whole hot dog in your butt?" I thought I would pee on myself to keep from laughing. I changed the subject quickly to choo-choo trains and thought he forgot all about it. That was until dinner when we are all sitting down to eat. He then tells his Dad, "Daddy, did you know Mommy has hot dogs in her butt?" Chuck almost choked on his food.....

Such is life with a 2 year old I guess. So, how was your week?

Breaking some habits...

posted by Kandi

Well, around here we are in the process of breaking the youngest ones of a couple of habits they have. Our son has this bad binky habit. Well, all of my kiddos are binky kids. I personally think it's an offshoot from weaning a little too early. For our oldest daughter (peanut), it was easy to break her. We told her that her new baby sister would need her binkies and she willingly gave them up. For our son though, this is going to be a little tougher. He LOVES LOVES LOVES his binkies! Now, in his defense, he doesn't get them all the time. He just uses them at naptime and bedtime to help calm him. These days though, I am just tired of having to haul a load of stuff to bed with each of the kids. I also think that once you can talk with a binky in your mouth, it's probably time to take it away. So, my life for the last 2 nights has been awful! He is crying himself to sleep. I go in and comfort him the best I can, but in the end he is just crying for a binky. I feel like the world's worst mom.

Now, just so I don't get any hate mail about all of this, I KNOW he doesn't need it anymore. How you ask? Well, he spent 2 nights and 3 days with my mom this week and we forgot to pack binky. He did just fine. We down for his naps and bedtime without any fussing or crying. I'm beginning to think he's crying for the sympathy effect. Hopefully this won't last long...keep my (and my sanity) in your thoughts this week!!!
